NASCLA Accredited Exam
The NASCLA Accredited contractor examination was created to improve the quality of construction examinations and enable the mobility of contractors across jurisdictions. Several states now accept this NASCLA Accredited examination as meeting the trade examination requirement for Commercial Contractors. These states include: Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Arkansas. States administering the exam include SC, AL, MS and GA. Others accept it via reciprocating agreements. Be sure to check with your license board for details. You will also need to take each states specific business/law/project management exam in addition to the NASCLA exam in order to become licensed.
