Virginia Commercial Contractor (The NASCLA exam) (Alternative to CBC)

Virginia NASCLA Contractor: The Virginia NASCLA Contractor license classification covers commercial, industrial, institutional, and modular construction along with commercial remodeling or ancillary work. As of 3/1/2016 you will need a separate license referred to as the R.B.C. (Residential Builder Contractor) if you wish to perform contracting on any residential structure.

Unlimited also allows for work under many of the various sub classifications. Also by passing this one exam, you will have passed the trades exam in  Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands, West Virginia.



 

Virginia Commercial Building Contractor (CBC)

Virginia Commercial Building Contractor The Commercial Building Contractor is one whose contracts include construction, remodeling, repair, improvement, removal, or demolition on real property owned, controlled or leased by another person of commercial, industrial, institutional, governmental, and accessory use buildings or structures.


 

Virginia Commercial Improvement Contractor (CIC)

Virginia Commercial Improvement Contractor The Commercial Improvement Contractor provides services for repair or improvement to structures not defined as dwellings and townhouses in the USBC. The CIC classification does not provide for the construction of new buildings, accessory buildings, electrical, plumbing, HVAC or gas work.



 

Virginia Residential Building Contractor (RBC)

Virginia Commercial Business Law Residential Building Contractors are those whose contracts include construction, remodeling, repair, improvement, removal, or demolition or real property owned, controlled or leased by another person of dwellings and townhouses, as defined in the USBC, including accessory buildings or structures on such property.
