State Requirements & Application
*Any prime contractor or sub contractor working on projects where the cost of labor and materials is more than $2,500 is required to have the appropriate Arkansas contractors license.* Only the General Contractor license has a minimum net worth requirement. The minimum net worth for a GC unlimited is $150,000 and a GC Limited Tier must have a minimum net worth of $25,000. The limited tier license is only for contracts $500,000 or less.* The General Contractor must have at least $500,000 worth of general liability insurance. * Must have at least four years of proven active experience, or a four degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
