The renewal fee is $200. The application fee for a subcontractor is $150. Georgia Residential Basic Application: Georgia Residential Basic (Individual) or Georgia Residential Basic (Qualifying Agent). Veteran Preference: Veterans who served during war time or who have permanent disability may qualify for up to 10 Veteran Preference points. Contact the board to see if you qualify. Test Information: Applicants must also pass a separate exam on Business Law and Project Management for Georgia. There is a separate $60 fee for the Business Law exam.
ReciprocityGeorgia has established Reciprocity with South Carolina and also Mississippi. You must hold a current active Residential Builders license and have obtained the license by state examination. A verification of licensure will be required along with your reciprocity application. Once your reciprocity application has been reviewed and approved by the Board, you will have to schedule and pass the Georgia business and law exam prior to the Georgia license being issued. Permitted WorkWith this license you may work on jobs relative to detached one-family and two-family residences and one-family townhouses not over three stories in height. |
