Louisiana Commercial General Contractor NASCLA

Louisiana Contractor (The NASCLA exam) In Louisiana, a contractor's license is required for any job over $2,500. The NASCLA contractor license exam is used for the General Building classification in LA (Commercial Builder Contractor). With this license you may build residential, however the contract must be for more than two houses on any one contract.

The NASCLA exam is accepted in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands, West Virginia.
All Lousiana applications have a 60 day waiting period.

Louisiana Business Law and Project Management

The Louisiana Business Law exam is required for all contractor licenses in LA. It is a separate test based on the book Louisiana Business Law and Project Management.
