Louisiana Commercial General Contractor NASCLA
Louisiana Contractor (The NASCLA exam) In Louisiana, a contractor's license is required for any job over $2,500. The NASCLA contractor license exam is used for the General Building classification in LA (Commercial Builder Contractor). With this license you may build residential, however, the contract must be for more than two houses on any one contract.
The NASCLA exam is accepted in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands, West Virginia.
All Louisiana applications have a 60 day waiting period.
