Tennessee general contractors license

Tennessee has many different types of licenses. All of the builder licenses start with BC (building contractor) and then are followed by the classification. The classifications use a combination of the letters "A" for residential, "B" for commercial, "b" for small commercial, or "C" for industrial.

For example, a residential builder license is a BC-A license. A commercial and industrial builder license is a BC-BC license

In Tennessee, a builder license is required for any job over $25,000.
